Description: This is a vintage book given to brides and grooms at the time they applied for a wedding license titled The Bride's Book of Household Economy (similar versions were given in other counties and titled Cupid's Book). The book was given at San Diego California and I dated the book to 1931 based on the bride's notation in the book. The book features easy to follow cooking methods and recipes for everything from beverages, beads, soups and salads to fish, meat, vegetables and desserts and other household hints. Nicely organized table of contents and extensive index, super fun advertising local to San Diego California. BINDING: soft cover PAGES: 82 VINTAGE: 1931 based bride's notation in front of book CONDITION: This book has been very well loved and used. Cover is very worn, dark and has splotches and wear on edges and corners, cover is coming away from binding at bottom and has some tape. Small tears on edges of cover. Some handwriting, with a few stains and splotches on pages. Pages have darkened. No other detected major issues, no tears, missing pages, etc. Slight "old book" smell. Please see photos.
