Description: Per Wikipedia, They Only Come Out at Night is the debut studio album by American rock band The Edgar Winter Group, released in November 1972 by Epic Records. A commercial success, the album reached #3 on the US Billboard 200 chart and features the band's signature songs, "Frankenstein" and "Free Ride". The album was certified gold on April 30, 1973, and platinum on November 21, 1986, by the RIAA. The single "Frankenstein" was certified gold June 19, 1973, by the RIAA. The third single, "Hangin' Around", reached #39 in the singles chart. Recording for the first time as The Edgar Winter Group, Winter assembled an all-star lineup which featured himself, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dan Hartman, San Francisco guitarist Ronnie Montrose, and producer and guitarist Rick Derringer, with Eagles' producer Bill Szymczyk serving as technical director. The album up for bid is a 1973 reissue of the original 1972 release by Epic Records. Itconsists of 10 tracks and include the hit singles "Free Ride", "Frankenstein", as well as, "Hangin'Around". The album has a run time of 34+ minutes. The cover is in VG condition with only mild wear along the edges. There are no split seams, tears or bent corners. There is mild disc wear onthe back cover (see photos). The interior covers of this gatefold album are also in VG condition and contains black & white photos of the group. The paper inner sleeve is original and intact. However,it is a promotional sleeve showcase of Epic publicity. The recording has been cleaned, tested andrecorded using Audacity. All tracks are free of skips and there is very little background noise. Ontesting, I did detect a "click" on Side 2, track 3 (Autumn). The sound is clean and clear and there isno evidence of scratches or scuffs on the record surfaces. All labels are clean and intact. I always clean, listen and test every record I list on EBAY.
