Description: The third and final installment in a series of epic tone! Like any epic trilogy worth the dust it’s written in, the seeds of the climactic final scenes were often sown at the very start, their inevitability brought into stark contrast as they square up under the burning gaze of the sun. From the moment I started soldering on Ennio #001, the idea of adding a variable gain cut control was already in the works. While some guitarists like rolling the guitar pedal's volume back to find new tones, I play instrumental surf and wanted to get those same biting overdrive and horn-style fuzz tones while keeping volume at unity. I've done this with 3-way switches as a gain-cut feature, but I knew that at some point I wanted to offer up an ultimate version of this idea, complete with a variable gain-cut control and packaged as a glorious, big-box version with custom paint. Because as hard as I work on the layout and form factor of my pedals, at heart I’m a pedal geek that loves a nice big box to give the artwork room to breathe. This path inevitably led me to this pedal – the Ennio “Ultimate Trilogy” Edition! While the pedal shares the same buzzsaw bite that has made the Ennio a benchmark for 60s-style fuzz, it adds a third knob – the Trilogy Control – that gives you complete, variable control of the gain cut feature. Rolled all the way up, you have the full-on buzzsaw of the Ennio. But as you roll it back, the pedal retains the sizzling high end that’s so signature to this type of fuzz – Best of both worlds! Paint it up with a color I’ve named Blood in the Dust, add vintage-style creme knobs and graphics that include the Man With No Name’s serape pattern on either side and you have the most versatile, best-looking 60s fuzz pedal on the market today! It’s the final showdown – What pedal are you packing? All Pierce Custom Instruments pedals are handwired, right here in the USA and feature:Top-mounted In/Out/9V jacks to save on precious pedalboard spaceEnclosures that are drilled, painted and decorated by hand - every one is unique!Quality components and clean layouts for long-haul reliabilityStandard Boss-style 9V power jack9V battery snap for those who like to play off the grid Please note that these are handmade pedals.
