Description: The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, 1st edition 1st printing, 2nd half of 1st edition (green cloth), 1925, *WITH ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE DUST JACKET* * A note on printings: The first half of the first run of printings have red boards and indicate "first printing" on the copyright page. The second half of the 1st printing have green boards like ours and do not indicate "first printing" on the copyright page. The dust jacket is the same for both variations. Obviously the red board copies are more desirable than the green boards, HOWEVER, the first issued Dust Jacket is probably the most collectible aspect of either of these printings. Our copy checks all of the 1st printing points including the following uncorrected errors: (A) page 9, the page number 9 appears as “o” (B) page 321, line 5: “referred is misspelled as “refrred” (C) page 381, line 4: “G” in “G. W.” is smaller than “W” (D) page 480, line 2: “Dominique” misspelled “Domininque” *Condition Notes* Our dust jacket has a clipped corner, plenty of scuffing, creasing and wear as well as some blotching and stains on the reverse side. We have placed the DJ in an archival mylar jacket for preservation. The green boards have some blemishes, spots/marks. The binding is "cocked" to one side. Hinges are intact and the book is structurally sound overall. Small crack developing on the bottom of the front inside hinge. Light foxing to edges. Boards have some light rubbing Boards show blotching and fading and evidence of a stain. There is some roughness and chipping to about 1" of the fore-edge of the title page.
