Please see pics. There is lots of yellowing, spotting and staining on the inside covers and first and last several pages, as shown in photos. The tissue and colorful title page are beginning to detach from the spine. A few pages in the book have jagged bottom edges, like they were torn. Two pages inside of the book have the same thing but on the sides instead. Please review pics for reference to this. Albeit all these flaws, the book’s interior pages that contain the actual content are relatively free of any major staining or anything that would make any page difficult to read. The book’s pages are still well bound. Among the book’s pages there is no handwriting/markings and (almost surprisingly) the book has no bad or musty odors. Still it is a book to be enjoyed for its contents and for the beauty of its antiquity! The history of William the Conqueror is one volume of several historical book volumes by Jacob Abbott and was “designed for the young reader”, although the writing style is very maturely written and just as appropriate for adults.
