We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim. This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. This book is in MINT condition. The spine is unbroken. Dust jacket has normal wear and tear with a few rips beginning and ageing on the spine. Actual front and back boards have very minimal damage. No marks or highlighting in text. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. Cover lies flat. 28 color illustrations. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition. This book is MINT. The DJ has some very minor tears on the front cover and corners but the back DJ seems fine. There are also some minor nicks. Boards are a bright green cloth with black lettering. The endpages have ageing, but the pages themselves are a bright white. There are 28 miniature color art works glued into the book. The picture on the front cover is also glued on. This is how they did color in the 1940s. This book is also an ex-library book from back in the day, when people didn't mess with other peoples' things. This was in the Board of Education's library, which means the book was NOT in general circulation. There is a 2 1/2" x 4" sticker on the inside front cover stating Board of Ed. There is a Board of Ed/Wingert stamp on the title page. That is all that we see. No other stamps and no envelope in the back. There is also a slight musty smell, like a library. Please assume we are wrong about something. Old eyes, and apparently, old nose too. If it helps, our young nephew says it 'smells like an old book, not musty or anything. He's 14. You have to guess how right a 14 year old would be :) Please NOTE: Old books are heavy books. Safe shipping may move them into the next postal category. Sorry! Our book is pre-ISBN numbers. The Library of Congress number is not in the book. The LOC does not hyphenate when you put the number in to verify. Fake ISBN number is 9781014236289. Correct ISBN number is non-existent. We put in whichever one the system will take. Sorry! Note: We are running out of estate books and will be slowly changing over to their other possessions – some serious, some MCM, some just funky, or kitschy. Others are Depression era. Some will be brand new items, still in their packaging, and others will be more mainstream books (from one of the Grandma’s) or some of our personal books or collectables, as we are not leaving this mess to our kids.
