The last three years have undoubtedly been groundbreaking in the group's career. Following the global success of the single "Hey Ho" and then their debut album "The Lumineers", the band embarked on a nearly 3-year tour. During it, they visited as many as 6 continents! During this time, the Lumineers also won 2 Grammy statuettes, recorded 2 songs for the 'Hunger Games' soundtrack, and sold 3 million albums worldwide! On the new album 'Cleopatra' you can hear that The Lumineers will certainly not settle on their laurels. "We decided to approach the subject like we did the first time, recording a demo first at a small rented house in Denver" - reveals the behind-the-scenes work on Wesley's album. The recordings were made at the Clubhouse studio in the mountains near Woodstock. The material was produced by Simone Felice, known for his collaborations with The Felice Brothers and The Avett Brothers. 'Cleopatra' is another confirmation that The Lumineers, like no one else, can combine the influences of 17th and 19th century songs with 20th century folk narratives and neatly translate everything into 21st century sound.
