Condition: Because this title art was later displayed as a collection on a movie theater projection room wall, there are a few small staple holes at corner and upper edges and masking tape residue on the reverse side. This is not very noticeable from a reasonable viewing distance—just want to be fair noting its condition. Please refer to photos for overall condition. If you have concerns please ask questions. A brief history lesson of mylars: Prior to 1989, movie theaters did not use mylars. Mylars were created as a response to the multiplex explosion of the late 1980s. No longer using just 1-2 screens, movie theaters now found themselves with multiple screens and a need to be able to direct patrons to their correct theater, so they created the movie mylar. Designed as a sort of mini-poster, mylars are used primarily in two places: The first is the Small mylar which is placed above the Box Office to give a listing of that film's current show times. The second is the Large mylar that is hung above the auditorium doorways to help direct patrons to their correct theater. You can see an example of this in my photos. Most theaters no longer use mylars, as they have converted over to digital displays, so they have become increasingly more difficult to find.
