Description: I have a very large collection of books spanning many topics. A massive gathering of Philip K Dick titles and editions, as well as fine press, signed limited editions, modern firsts, radical movement and conceptual art items. I encourage you to browse my store and categories for a wide range of unique, quality offerings. Condition: This issue is in solid GOOD++ condition. FOLDED booklet, measuring approx. 10.5in TALL x 8.5in WIDE. Staples holding firm, although a hint of rusting. NO hard creases or soft tears. Except for the toning to the paper, I would grade this as VERY GOOD. NO markings. Overall no tearing. Pages are toned, but not brittle. Preserved in an acid-free archival bag. IMO, gift or collection quality. About: A satire titled The Story Behind the Rumor About President Kennedy's First Mariage. A lead article about the Monroe Freedom Riders titled Should Violence Be Met With Violence? Other contributors: Paul Krassner, John C. Lowry, Bob Abel, John Francis Putnam, William Worthy, Michael Valenti, Peter Edler, T. D. C. Kuch, Dave Berkman. The Realist was an underground paper founded by Paul Krassner, and first published in 1958. It saw print for over 42 years, coming to an end in 2001. Steeped in satire, and wrapped up in the First Amendment right to free speech, this underground countercultural paper was quite a tool in speaking Truth to Power and breaking taboos we bound ourselves by. I will happily answer any further questions. Making offers: I certainly can appreciate wanting a better deal, and I've made offers myself on my own purchases. To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings. I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success.
