Description: Original page (or pages) from an 1895 issue of the UK weekly newspaper The Black and White: A Weekly Illustrated Record and Review. Not to be confused with the cheaper Black & White or Black & White Budget, The Black and White ran from 1891 to its eventual incorporation with The Sphere in 1912. The newspaper employed many of the talented artists and engravers of the period to illustrate news and events and to entertain. Printed on quality paper. Normally there will be another article, drawing or photograph to back. Date and name of publication are to the top border of each page. Large frameable print. Cannot read artist's signature. Condition is very good. Measurements for a single page are approximately 37cm x 27cm.
