From the Web: The Voyages of the Venetian Brothers, Nicolò and Antonio Zeno, to the Northern Seas in the XIVth Century is a book that describes a voyage made by the Zeno brothers in the 1390s. A Hakluyt Society publication of the Zeno voyages. The Zeno brothers were Italian aristocrats whose letters and map, which were published after their deaths, describe a voyage through the North Atlantic at the close of the 14th century. The voyage has been controversially regarded as a hoax by some historians and this publication is an attempt to validate the brothers' account. With a facsimile reproduction of the famous map which accompanied the publication of the first edition of the Zeno narrative in 1558.
