This is a Ten Volume set of books, the complete set, authored by great historians and edited by Esther Singleton It has incredibly detailed text to go along with illustrations by major artists or famous photos! Each book contains Chapters from a certain time period, starting in B.C. 3300 to the modern day (1913) I acquired this very nice set of books from a private estate. I found them safely tucked away on a library bookshelf where they had been for decades. These books were gently handled over the years. The Time Period of each Volume covers is: Volume One - B.C. 3300 to B.C. 207 Volume Two - B.C. 207 to A.D. 1193 Volume Three - 1194 to 1492 Volume Four - 1498 - 1648 Volume Five - 1648 to 1776 Volume Six - 1776 to 1848 Volume Seven - 1848 to 1899 Volume Eight - 1899 to 1906 Volume Nine - 1906 to 1911 Volume Ten - 1911 to 1913 CONDITION: FOR EACH BOOK: The front cover and spine are decorated with gold gilt. This antique book is complete and intact, in excellent condition as evidenced by the photos. The covers are in excellent condition. The inside covers are in excellent condition, with no cracking or separation present at the hinges. There are no bookplates, markings or writing on the inside covers or end papers. The pages are in very good-plus condition, very nice, the pages are crisp. The pages have a gold gilt on the top edges. There is no writing or markings present anywhere in the book. The spine in excellent condition; the gold gilt lettering is easily read. This book set comes from a smoke free home.
