To me, it is in great vintage condition, meaning gently worn and well taken care of - wear consistent with age. This is not a new necklace - it is preowned and may show wear. There are signs of wear and some light scratches which is common in gold and silver jewelry. It may clean up with polishing and cleaning. Personally, I like to wear my silver really polished and shiny, but since some folks like patina, I did not clean or polish the necklace and left that up to the discretion of the buyer. Silver has been tested for metal purity. For weight and metal purity I rely on the results of my Fusion scale and the common Puri Test Acid tests used on a black scratch stone. Prior to wearing, please get the item checked out, serviced or repaired by a professional as I can not be held responsible for how any item, clasp, stones, gems, chain, string, findings, etc. will hold up with any sort of wear.
