Mounted in paperboard folio. 5/25L Peale was a naturalist, photographer, and scientific illustrator. Named for an older brother who died in 1798, he was the only naturalist in the Peale family and documented animals and scenery in watercolors on scientific expeditions, including the 1819 Long expedition to the Rocky Mountains. Approx. Measurements: sheet 14 x 21.5 inches; folio 20 x 28 inches Condition: Print in very good condition with toning, spotting. Folio has dust soling, stains.
