[48] leaves, printed recto only. Perfect-bound in wraps, 7 x 5 in., featuring cover by Joe Brainard. Very good, with toning to spine, some incidental soiling to fore- edge. Signed by Berrigan to the front end-paper and also inscribed on the following flyleaf: “For Tommy [or Tony] and Kathy, don’t show this one to Mom, she might think she forgot to bring me up not to use “bad language” Love & kisses, Teddy.” An unusually tender and revealing presentation copy of this book-length poem, originally written in 1971 (the date given by the copyright page), but unpublished until 1978. Berrigan’s inscription is to his sister Kathy (and her presumed husband). Dividing Line Books Guarantee Dividing Line Books treats every order according to strict ethical and professional standards.
