Long, bright green delicate leave hang on graceful, drooping branches are accented by sprays of yellow flowers. Yellow flowers have a sweet honey gland at its base that becomes red. Blooms occur in profusion during warm months. This plant is native to Central Texas - Arizona and Northern South America. Grows well in rocky, sandy poor soils. Very drought tolerant once established although more water produces more flowerng. Needs full sun. Plant has the potential of becoming weedy due to prolific seeding.
