Description: UFO No Place To Run PosterRock Society PostersPhysical Product: 11" X 17" Shipped through Fed Ex Poster Description: Pete Way, one of the most significant figures in the evolution of rock throughout the late 70s into early 80s. As co-founder and original bassist of UFO, founder of Waysted and Fastback, and time spent as bassist for Ozzy and Micheal Schenker Group, Way is credited as an inspiration to many of the more mainstream rock groups we recognize from the 80s… including but not limited to… Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Scorpions. I first started listening to Pete Way through his work with UFO shortly after his death in 2020. Bands I had been listening to at the time, including Iron Maiden, had shared their honorary words in regard to Pete through social media. I began listening to UFO and immediately fell in love with the Pete Way - Micheal Schenker combo. Pete redefined my appreciation for the Bass in rock music and I see his inspiration in countless musicians of other bands I had already been listening to, such as Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. When I first started making my posters, I knew UFO would be a big part of my first pieces of work, and I knew I needed to find a way to incorporate Pete Way into the visuals. This poster is the outcome.
