Description: 79th SEPARATE AIR ASSAULT BRIGADE (OLIVE) Tactical Patch(embroidery) The 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade is a brigade-sized military unit of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is based in Mykolaiv. In the spring of 2014, it was among the first to be raised to repel Russian aggression. Units of the brigade took part in the battles for Slovyansk, and later on in various areas of the front in the east of Ukraine. Since 2016, the brigade has been reformed into an amphibious assault brigade and received a tank unit.
