Description: Unison's LASAR (Limited Authority Spark Advance Regulator) was the first FAA-PMA Approved microprocessor-based electronic engine control system for GA piston aircraft. Combining traditional GA piston engine ignition technology with digital electronic controls, LASAR improves aircraft rate of climb, and engine starting and idle performance. LASAR also reduces fuel consumption at cruise altitudes and engine settings. And, LASAR provides redundant magneto-based ignition as a backup in the event of aircraft electrical power interruption. LASAR can be installed on both certificated or experimental aircraft. This complete LASAR system fits Lycoming IO-360 Engine Series (25 deg Base Timing Angle, 180HP) and includes: 2 LASAR Magnetos with impulse coupled drive gears (4771 Left and 4775 Right), spacers, and high voltage harnesses1 LASAR Controller LC1011-03 (12V with CHT option)1 Low Voltage Control HarnessSpark PlugsOptional CHT Probe Optional T-300 SynchroLASAR Timing ToolDocumentation This system was recently removed for an upgrade on my experimental aircraft at 353 Tach hours. The standard Slick Magneto overhaul recommendation of 500 hours applies and I'd recommend doing it before installing or for spares to an existing system.
