Vinyl Condition is Very Good Plus The Gospel Keys This short lived quartet consisted of Will and Shirley Cohron alongside Tim and Dixie McKeithen. Shirley Cohron was a member of the The Rambos in their earliest days after which she was a member of another group - The Apostolic Echoes before joining this quartet. Shirley is one of the voices that brought the heavenly tones of that band to the ears and hearts of millions. She had been singing in churches since high school in Columbus, Ohio. It's in these early days she joined up with Buck and Reba Rambo. She went on to marry Will Cohron in 1964 and took their music ministry from coast to coast and even to Jamaica. Their son, Anthony, currently pastors a United Pentecostal Church, the Rock Church of Jacksonville, FL. Tim and Dixie McKeithen were members of the Gospel Keys before later joining Tim’s uncle (Joel Hemphill) in his group The Hemphills. That iteration of the Hemphills consisted of Joel singing lead, wife LaBreeska Hemphill singing alto, Tim singing baritone (1969-1977) and Dixie sang soprano & played piano (1969-1972). Dixie and Tim eventually left the Hemphills to start their own family group…the McKeithens.
