Description: This is a vintage analog synthesizer purchased around 1976 by one owner. It has two oscillators and is duophonic (can play two notes at the same time). It has white and pink noise generators. Each generator has ring modulators. The synth plays and the switches, dials and sliders work as they should, but there are a couple of problems. I had a local technician troubleshoot the problem and he stated that he was having problems "probably related to the power supply." The sound crackles when you first turn it on, and the green power light blinks in sync with the crackling sound. But it stops. The duration varies from no crackling at all to a few seconds, and sometimes up to 15 minutes. Another related problem is “VCO1 and VCO2 alignment problem” (meaning tuning drift). The technician added that the faders are a little stiff, but they work. There is also a switch lever (Expand) that is broken, but the switch itself works. There are cosmetic scratches on the wood surfaces and the sticker on the front panel has lost its integrity in places. Oddly enough, the wooden spacers on either side of the keyboard had been cut off. I don’t remember why, but the parts are firmly in place. The synth also comes with a Forge hard travel case (made by Anvil). The case will need new foam padding, but is otherwise solid. Both keyboard and travel case are sold as is.
