Description: US Air Force 1960's/Vietnam Air Rescue and Recovery Squadron (ARRS) "Pedro" Asian Made Patch. Embroidered on twill, with paper backing covered by black cloth. The "Pedro" name originated from the call sign for Squadrons flying the HH-43 "Huskie" helicopter in Vietnam. They flew as part of the 33rd,36th, 37th,38th and 40th ARRS's throughout Vietnam and Thailand. More successful rescue/recovery flights were conducted by "Pedro's" than all other types of aircraft flying during the Vietnam war combined. The squadron/flight for a pilot would be in rectangular tabs bordering both sides at the apex of the triangle in this patch.
