Description: These are Basic Parachutist Jump Wings of the United States Army These wings are in new/mint condition and are the current no shine "stay brite" style. The brass clutches will be included. Hallmarked V21 for Vanguard, a notable US maker of quality military insignia. To be awarded US Basic Jump wings, one must have completed Airborne School and made a minimum of 5 parachute jumps from an aircraft while in flight. These wings are similar those illustrated in the Bragg and Turner book, PARACHUTE Badges and Insignia of the World as B&T 41.
