Description: UP FOR AUCTION: Original 1911 vintage, old Sheet Music of song by Vamp Actress VALESKA SURATT in Petticoat Dress This song is entitled: "When Broadway was a Pasture". It is from a 1910/1911 Vaudeville Theater Production, in which she teamed up with Fletcher Norton (who became her second husband). The play was entitled "Bouffes Varieties". It has an autograph on the lower front cover, but it appears to be a facsimile autograph. The sheet music is 6 pages. It is oversized: about 14 inches long by 11 inches wide. 1911 SHEET MUSIC Music for Vocals and Piano. This was written by Joseph McCarthy and Al Piantadosi, and it was Published by Leo Feist in New York. The songbook in the photo is the one you will be receiving. It would make a fine poster. The song is about Broadway in New York City, long ago, when it was just a pasture. The songbook was published in 1911. See actual book in pics above. It appears to be vintage and original.
