Description: Up for sale is an interesting early Japanese 3rd party preset telephoto lens, the Vemar 200mm f/4.5. "Vemar" was a brand used by US importer Bittco, who would source lenses from a number of well-known Japanese manufactureres. This lens appears to be a Tokina. It features the classic 2-ring preset system with loads of aperture blades typical of Japanese lenses of its era (1960's) and includes an integrated tripod foot. It's an excellent performer with great sharpness, smooth bokeh, and loads of vintage character. The primary mount on this lens is the Universal T2 mount, which can be adpated easily to just about any 35mm film or digital system through the use of an inexpensive T2 mount adapter. The one included with the lens is for Nikon F SLR. Lovely vintage condition with very light handling wear, clean glass free of scratches/haze/fungus, and excellent mechanics. b145
