Barnes, Pittsburgh, 1887. 25 pp. Softcover in light blue wraps, perfect bound (thin flat spine with some loss particularly at bottom) There is edge and corner wear but no chips or tears except for missing tip of back left corner which aslo has two diagonal creases. The wraps show some soiling and staining and there is light interior toning. But, overall this copy is square and in remarkable condition. The binding is secure though there is a 2" slit at the ootom of the spine. This is, as the title says, an alumi annual for Pittsburgh Central High School. It lists alumni beginning with the class of 1859. There is some other information about classes and reunions, but mainly this is an alumni directory. There are a number of pages with advertisements that really give a sense of Pittsburgh in the 19th century. I cannot find Pittsburgh Central as a current school, but it was a well-known high school. Willa Cather taught there as she worked at her burgeoning career. This is a wonderful bit of Pittsburgh ephemera. Not Ex-Lib.
