I will be listing a broad and diverse range of Vintage Communications and Technology items, related Books, Periodicals and Ephemera...something for everyone! This is a beautiful crystal receiver built by the short lived Holt Radio Company of Paterson, N.J. It is in nice "as found" condition, original and has had no attempt of restoration. It is scarce indeed... As you can tell from the pictures, it is well built and utilizes a two slide tuner. In addition to the Holt Radio makers tag, there are also metal tags for "Ground", "Aerial" and "Phones". Everything is mounted on a mahogany base and the coil form is fitted with mahogany end pieces. The finish on top of the base is "alligatored" and glass surrounding the detector has a piece broken off. All this has been detailed in the photographs. That being said, this set is visually stunning and exudes the warmth of a time long ago... The receiver is about 10.75" wide, 4.5" deep and stands about 5.5" tall. Shipping weight will be about 8 pounds. If you are a crystal set collector, this could be a marvelous addition for you! I will pack this item properly and with great care.
