Description: Vintage Vibroplex Vibrokeyer Deluxe Chrome Model Single Lever Paddle -- Serial Number 264645 -- manufactured 1970 This paddle is in very nice condition, tested and working fine. The chrome base and chrome hardware have no significant flaws (see photos). This Vibroplex model was the first single lever paddle made for use with electronic keyers in Amateur Radio beginning in 1960. It has a solid steel base and a lever arm with mechanical spring action on both sides. Unlike iambic paddles that can be squeezed to send individual letters, a single lever paddle is a single arm that pivots between the dit and dah contacts for clean sounding code sent with the electronic keyer in your transceiver. The Vibrokeyer has long been the go-to standard for DXpeditioners for the fastest, snappiest CW transmission. The knob and thumb piece arrangement reminiscent of the "bug" keys is the most ergonomically correct for CW operation.As stated above, Vibroplex started making the Vibrokeyer in 1960.
