Item Description Vigier EXCESS 4st Black (2007) This is a 4-string bass made by the French high-end guitar brand Vigée. A French brand known for its use by Masayoshi Yamashita (LOUDNESS) and Roger Glover (Deep Purple). This is a standard alder body with a rosewood fingerboard. The neck is made of maple and uses the brand's signature 10/90 System (10% carbon with 90% of wood). This system uses maple for approximately 90% of the neck's mass, and carbon for 10%, which is hard yet highly flexible. This 10/90 neck system with carbon sandwiched between maple materials boasts excellent durability against changes in temperature and humidity. Because it has a solid structure without a truss rod, it has both strength and excellent sustain without losing the density of the neck itself, and also contributes to tuning stability. Also, it has a density of sound, and you will feel a different response and sound than a typical instrument with a truss rod. The pickup is Viger's original humbucking size single type. Equipped with a circuit that removes the hum noise peculiar to the single type, outputting a clean sound. The controls are standard: Volume, Balance, Bass, Treble. The pegs are made by Schaller, and the bridge is a heavy type with a quick release function. There are dents, scratches, and scratches on the back of the body. There is a chip on the edge of the back panel, but there is no problem with removing it or using it.
