LABEL SET #A BIG BUM-DEVIL DOG-COLT 44-GRENADE BUM-PEONY-CPT KIDD-ROCKET-SHOT GUN-TNT BUM-WARRIORYou’ve seen these firecracker label sets offered elsewhere - and due to my age and current interest level - I’ve decided it’s time to pass mine on to someone younger! The set consists of ten original (not copies), near-mint firecracker labels dating from the mid-1950’s to 1975. Most come from the Kwong Yuen Hang Kee Firecracker Factory in Macau/Macao - this manufacturer dating back to at least the 1920’s and sadly, no longer exists! The Colt 44 and Shot Gun brands were manufactured at the Po Sing Firecracker Factory - it established in 1894! Brands (age) included are: Big Bum (1972-1975), Devil Dog (1967-1971), Grenade Bum (1972-1975), Peony (1950-1954), Rocket (1972-1975), TNT Bum (1972-1975), Shot Gun 20’s (1969-1971), Colt 44 (1969-1971), Captain Kidd (1940’s) and Warrior (1972-1975). Many of these brands were first produced in the 1950’s (or slightly earlier) and remained quite popular here until they disappeared due to the Macau-based factory’s demise - when mainland China factories such as Horse, Flower Basket, Red Lantern, etc. took over the firecracker export market!These labels are old, leftover stock that were never glued to a pack of firecrackers, and they remain in Excellent to Near-Mint condition. All are from the days when U.S. laws allowed firecrackers to contain two full grains of flash-powder instead of today’s wimpy 50-milligram limit!The “A”, “B” and “C” sets I am listing are sets I was going to save for myself - but I decided to let ‘em go!
