The hole in the center is over six inches in diameter. The thickness varies depending on maker. Would make a great photo frame for your favorite computer geek. They don't make them like this anymore and it's a good thing. Your computer would be the size of your house if they did. This had a capacity of around 20 Mega Bytes per platter.
