Description: Vintage mid to late 1800's long stem hunter's hunters pipe with the carved white bowl marked "Klitsch". The pipe has an 18" long hollow stick stem with a broken mouthpiece mouth piece as pictured. The stem is attached to the (meerschaum ?) bowl with twine and a silver socket ring. The top of the bowl is stamped "Klitsch". The ring could be sterling - not sure. The white/cream pipe bowl has a carved monogram, carved chain link and carved floral design. The bowl measures about 3" tall by 3 1/2" wide. The opening hinged silver (sterling ?) frame and cover top is loose from the top of the bowl as pictured. There are makers marks / hall marks on the hinged top. The hinged top is very well made. The stem can be removed from the bowl and the ring with the twine attached can be removed from the bowl. The mouth piece is broken and the silver hinged top is loose from the bowl. The pipe displays beautifully and is in good used condition with use and storage wear with great patina as pictured. It will need work. Nice item for the man cave, mancave, garage, bar, pub, tavern, taproom, saloon, den, game room, etc. It is sold as is with damage and loose parts noted and as pictured and as a parts or project pipe with returns not accepted. $12.00 USPS shipping.
