Description: This vintage teapot from Brown & Richie has a beautiful Oriental Gardens transferware pattern in pastel shades. The teapot comes with the original lid and metal handle. Made in Japan for the Brown & Richie Co. of Staffordshire England between 1920-1939. The Oriental Gardens pattern was made using the polychrome transferware method. An innovative new method of the time. Measuring: 5-3/8” tall, 6.75” long to end of spout, 5.5” diameter, & weighing 1lb 0.2 ounces. There is extensive crazing and staining to this teapot.
