Vintage 1940's National TV-7W, 7" Table Top TV in Mahogany Cabinet, #2

Desirable 1948, National TV-7W, 7" table top TV in mahogany veneer cabinet. This is one of the earliest and hardest to find chassis, serial number prefix 229. Cosmetics of the wood cabinet are good overall but needs to be refinished. I included 2 National decals, the other letters needed can be ordered at Radio Daze. Four knobs are original and in good condition, 2 small and the large On-Off, Volume knob will need to be found. An extension shaft is needed on that control as well. The simple, metal screen back is missing but is very easy to reproduce, see photo below. The chassis is mostly all-original with some 1950's repairs and has never been fully restored making it more valuable to collectors and restorers alike. Notice the small amount of surface rust and age related scratches and patina. Both of the speakers have been replaced by one smaller one. Two plastic shaft extenders are missing off the two right-rear controls. The dried out AC cord has been cut off. The two paper stickers under the picture tube and three on the back are color copies from originals. The warning sticker on the rear of the high voltage cage is the only original. Be sure to see all the photos below including close-up shots. I did not test any of tubes but did test the RCA 7JP4 picture tube. Sencore CR70 Test: H-K Shorts - Good, G1 Shorts Good, Cutoff - Just Low, Emission Good, Life Test - Good. There are several scratches on the face, two 1/2" long, others are smaller. I am selling this TV and all its parts as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, no returns for any reason. This 70+ year old TV must be looked over, safety checked and repaired/restored by a qualified technician before use. TV measures 12 1/2” tall, 21” wide, 18” deep and weighs 39 lb. Box will measure 18” tall, 26” wide, and 23” deep and weigh 45 lb. when packed. Good, strong packing supplies/boxes including 2” thick hard Styrofoam to line the boxes will cost $30 and FedEx Ground shipping (cheapest/ best handling ground service) will cost $145.00.
