Description: Vintage 1950's Kraft Swanky Swigs Red Kiddie Cups /Juice Glasses - Set Of 3 Beautiful Set of 3 Kraft Swank Swigs Red Kiddie Cups made in the 1950's. The Kiddie Cup line consisted of 6 colors and patterns. Each of these has animal graphics - the two orange colored are the same, the brown is different. These are the 4 1/4" high glasses ( almost 2 1/4" wide at the top rim) and they are in good pre-owned condition free of any chips or cracks. The graphics are nice and vibrant. They do show some normal but minimum wear from use. They are perfect to bring out on a weekend morning to serve your kids or grandkids their favorite juice in these adorable cups! I have had them for years for my (now grown) grandchildren. I do not think they have ever been washed in the dishwasher, as I don't have one! Swanky glasses are painted juice glasses that first appeared in the Depression era. Often called Swanky Swigs because of their initial small drink size, Swankies now come in hundreds of sizes and patterns. But the original Swankies of the 1930s to 1950s were made only for the Kraft Cheese Corp. and only by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Co. of Pennsylvania. Initially, these small glasses held the newly-patented product of processed cheese spread under a removable cap.
