Description: Vintage 1956 Johnson 30HP outboard motor RUNS.This Johnson outboard is a model RD-18 C. It has just had a full tune up and is in great running condition. The carburetor was cleaned and rebuilt, the magneto was rebuilt, the water pump impeller was replaced and all the gear case seals where replaced. This motor is a standard shaft motor, it is a pull start and it is tiller controlled. It does have provisions to connect remote controls. If desired, an electric starter and flywheel could be added, the parts can be found elsewhere on ebay or from American Outboard Motor Salvage in MD. Also, the propeller has just had a new rubber hub installed by Atlantis Propellers. This motor uses a 2 line pressure tank and a fuel/oil ratio of 16-1. Please feel free to ask questions. If desired, I will also offer the service of cosmetically restoring the motor after purchase. I charge $15.00 per hour and the paint is $22.00 a can. Will need 2 cans red, 1 can cream, and 2 cans clear. Decals are $55.00.
