Description: Vintage 1960-70s MCM Red Flashed QUILTED Glass HURRICANE type Table BEDSIDE Lamp Body and shade are a kind of beaded quilted diamond like design/pattern. Color is a ruby red cranberry and is applied to the glass in a process that was called flashing which was popular back in the 1960s and 70s such as with the swag lamps of that day. It measures about 13-1/2 inches in height to top of shade and the base is 6 inches in diameter. Has a molded non-polarized plug which looks original to the piece. The low wattage bulb used during testing will not be included. Good overall condition and in complete working order, no damage at all, some spotty color loss in places which is kind of typical on these older flashed glass pieces but not too bad really, only a little surface rust here and there on the metal surfaces, the glass globe is damage free, very clean too, the actual light socket, plug, and wiring are in fine shape electrically and I had no hesitation in testing. Obviously, these lamps are not antiques, however, they are still desirable today as decorator/designer pieces and are highly sought after by the many people that follow the trends of the 60’s and 70’s.
