Given the relatively weak power reserve and considering its unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.***********This seldom seen vintage 1960's Duxot has a glossy black "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows light age-related wear. Majority of the wear seen is on the crystal, not the dial. The original lume, which emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. In my humble opinion the dial and patina couldn't be more pleasing and looks markedly better in person. The black bezel, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL ANTIMAGNETIC INCABLOC AUTOMATIC 20 ATM WATERPROOF" with "D" followed by "DUXOT,""SWISS,""3126" and "2165" stamped in the center. The crystal should be replaced as it shows scratching and dust/debris on its underbelly. The 25 jewels Swiss Felsa 4007N automatic movement with semi-quickset date function is clean, runs a bit fast and the red date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 21 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement gained about a minute by the end of its approximate 31 hour power reserve period. Given that this watch is more than 50 years old and considering the movement runs a bit fast with an unknown service history (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11 mm. This watch comes on a fully pliable, period correct 19 mm curved lug ends strap with flared buckle. The long end measures approximately 112 mm with the short end, excluding the buckle, measuring approximately 74 mm. It is free of any cracks/rips. Given that this watch is more than 50 years old and considering the movement runs a bit fast a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended.
