Vintage 1970's Rodania 10 ATM Day-Date Diver w/All SS Case,AS 2066 Mvmt,Serviced

Description: ***********The movement was given a complete overhaul in early 2021. Although no paperwork will be provided my watchmaker's service marking is etched on the inside of the case back.***********This seldom seen vintage 1970's Rodania has a lovely black "SWISS MADE" signed dial and the lume, which emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. There is a small, superficial (hasn't broken through) chip in the lume at the base of the minute hand. This chip, which is difficult to see under high magnification in pictures 1 through 7, is visually imperceptible in person. The bezel, which shows wear and rotates smoothly bidirectionally, presents nicely with the butterscotch lume pip complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case shows minor wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "WATERPROOF - STAINLESS STEEL - AUTOMATIC - SWISS MADE" with "2667.20" stamped along the inner edge. The crystal shows light wear. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "RODANIA WATCH Co" stamped AS 2066 automatic movement with quickset day and date functions was given a complete overhaul in early 2021. Although no paperwork will be provided my watchmaker's service marking is etched on the inside of the case back. The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling out the crown to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. The quickset day function works in precisely the same manner with the exception of turning the crown counterclockwise. The day wheel is in both English and Spanish. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the movement had a solid power reserve of approximately 45 hours. The screwdown replacement crown winds smoothly. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 40.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 13 mm. Although the movement is currently running strong and keeping accurate time there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.
