Description: ***********While the movement runs strong, keeps accurate time and all chronograph functions work as they should, the top pusher is missing. To test the chronograph functions I used the thicker, flat end of a toothpick to emulate the top pusher, which started and stopped the sweep seconds hand easily and without issue. The bottom pusher reset the sweep seconds and minute register (right subdial) back to zero. Given the missing pusher and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended.*********** This vintage 1973 Bulova 666 Feet chronograph has a perfectly even tropical chocolate brown "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial that is truly special. In my humble opinion the pictures don't do it nearly the justice it deserves. In both sunlight and artificial light the dial becomes more of a milk chocolate hue while in less intense lighting conditions the dial is more of a dark chocolate color. The tritium on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and no longer emits a glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a perfectly matching patina. The faded bezel, which rotates bidirectionally with the appropriate amount of tension, looks good. The all stainless steel case shows moderate wear but no significant dents or dings and minor signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "BULOVA STAINLESS STEEL 666 FEET" with "632308" and "N3" stamped along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is stamped "GG" followed by "895" and "SWISS." The crystal should be replaced as it shows significant scratching, pockmarks and dust/debris on its underbelly. The 17 jewels unadjusted "BULOVA WATCH Co" stamped Valjoux 7733 shows signs of oxidation but runs beautifully, keeping accurate time with all the chronograph functions working as they should. Although the top pusher is missing I was able to test it's functionality without issue by using the thicker, flat end of a toothpick and gently pressing in to start and stop the sweep seconds hand. The bottom pusher resets the sweep seconds hand and the minute register (right subdial) flawlessly. Neither pusher shows any signs of gumminess, both exhibiting a pleasant catch and release feel. After recently winding the sharply threaded, "BULOVA" signed non-screwdown crown 37 full revolutions (impressive for a manual wind) the movement had a solid power reserve of approximately 35 hours. The crown winds smoothly. Given that this watch is missing its top pusher and considering that the movement shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 40 mm including the crown and approximately 19.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 13 mm. Although the movement runs strong and all chronograph functions work as they should, given that the top pusher is missing and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 12 high magnification pictures carefully, which were taken in natural light and from various angles, as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch. Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided. Thanks for looking!***********While the movement runs strong, keeps accurate time and all chronograph functions work as they should, the top pusher is missing.
