Vintage 1976 Britains LTD Model Zoo Playset CAT #4712 w/ box near complete RARE

Description: This is a fantastic, 100% original, RARE vintage play-set from Britains Ltd, made of durable plastic and originating from the United Kingdom in 1976. The set features the model Zoo (Britains Catalogue #4712) manufactured on a hand painted plastic base, complete with 6 animal enclosures, 4 green cages made from the classic Britains interlocking railings, a refreshments stand, a zoo flag, the front entrance/zoo turnstile, and the partial roof covering for the enclosures in the back right corner of the playset. There are 8 miniature zoo animals that were included with the original set at time of purchase in 1976. The original box is also included in this offer. The 100% original Britains LTD plastic animals include the walrus, the panda bear, baby polar bear, mama polar bear, the kudu, the llama, standing gorilla and the gorilla on all fours. all figures have the BRITAINS LTD made in England stamp on the underside. The attention to detail in this play-set is impressive, with intricate designs and quality materials that make it a great addition to any collection. All pieces of this set are 100% original. The stickers are all still attached and in vintage good condition. The Model Riding School itself is in overall vintage good condition. The plastic base has some minor discoloration along the sides due to storage, the back (smaller) gate is missing, four flags are missing, the sign for the refreshments stand is missing, the baby kangaroo, mama kangaroo, and both seals are missing, the white "tree" that goes in the center cage is missing, the brown tree that goes in the cage to the left of the entrance is missing, the railings are in vintage good condition, some of the tines at the top of some rails are missing, the thin vertical cage door is missing a hinge at the bottom, the larger square cage door is also missing one hinge, the cardboard underside of the plastic base has some discoloration from storage and the box has discoloration from storage with clear packing tape in the shape of a cross on the back (non-graphic side).
