Description: Vintage 1994 Timex Expedition w/ Original Leather Pittards Band !! EXTREMELY RARE 90's Digital Watch - Replacement band, but the original band will be included - Here are some details that I would like the future owner to know. This watch is in pretty great shape for its age and rarity. I've been collecting vintage Timex digitals for some time, and this is only the second one of these that I have seen (and been able to fix up). The bezel did pop off when I was working on the watch, but it popped back into place pretty easily and can be rotated without issue (No guarantee that it won't come off over time - These watches are pretty delicate). DIGITAL PORTION (BOTTOM MOVEMENT):All the digital functions work perfectly!That includes setting the Time, Alarm, Chrono, Timer, Date, Chime, etc.This model did not feature a backlightNew battery installed in August 2024ANALOG PORTION (TOP MOVEMENT):When I got this watch, the crown was broken/missingThese top movements are notorious for not working, so the fact that this one works is kinda crazy!I tracked down a replacement crown - It is a Timex Crown of a similar style from the 90'sThe crown fits a little large, so it does not fit perfectly into placePLEASE NOTE: The gasket that makes this crown waterproof would not fit, so this watch is no longer safe to submerge fully in water - I've included the gasketsWith the crown being a little too large, the analog movement will stop from time to time. I've been able to restart it by pushing the crown firmly back into placeSETTING TIME might not be the smoothest of operations for the analog movement, so please don't be disappointed if that doesn't work as expected or has issuesIf you would like to find a true replacement crown, you will need to find a similar Expedition or a Timex Brave Wave - Those are unfortunately pretty hard to come byOverall, this is a cool rescue that would be a great piece for any collection.
