This piece features a walnut veneer exterior and all-original hardware. In addition to the multitude of storage options, there are also a trio of parallel pull-out writing surfaces that separate the top and bottom "halves" of the cabinet. This piece is part of a long tradition of sturdy, well-made library furniture from a company started by Melville Dewey (of the Decimal System) that continues to operate today, albeit under a different banner and with a focus on steel shelving.
