Featuring the DRUNK SEA CAPTAIN, figure is whimsical and fun with lots of detail including a disgruntled black cat at this feet, crested green parrot on his shoulder, bottle of rum clutched in his hand and pipe in the other - he belts out a ditty while hanging onto a light pole. He separates at the belly for inserting incense, and is designed so that smoke filters out thru his open mouth - gotta love his little bristle mustache and hair tufts. Marked KWO for Kunstgewerbe-Werkstatten Olbernhau GmbH on the bowl of the pipe, and also bearing the original foil label on the thick oval stand, he is simply charming! Condition is excellent with no chips, rubs, repairs, hairlines, or damage - the label has age related rubbing from surface contact and he has been used as a smoker, but there is no residue or staining around his mouth - a bit of cased dust is all I could find. Just a wonderful Erzgebirge Mountains, Olbernhau, Germany made smoker figure - nice addition to any collection or display! Please contact me with any questions!
