Description: AWESOME & VERY RARE CA. 1960’s PLATA DE JALISCO, MEXICO, SIGNED JFCM .925 STERLING SILVER & GOLD COWBOY RODEO ROPING TROPHY BELT BUCKLE— This antique precious metals trophy banner cowboy buckle was expertly handcrafted in Mexico. The JFCM lettering indicates the area and individual artisan that created this buckle. There is a small pouch symbol with the number 50 inside of it that was also hallmarked on the buckle back. We believe this indicates that the buckle also contains gold. The roping scene and banners are either gold filled, gold wash or gold bonded. The buckle shows moderate light scratches and signs of use but it still looks and works great when it’s on a belt. The dimensions are 3 3/4” x 3”, fits belts up to 1 1/2” wide and weighs about 50 grams or 1.8 ounces on our scale.
