Description: Vintage Afghan Style Throw Blanket Weighted Throw Made of Braided Twisted Ribbon Gramma bought this at a flea market years ago. She really liked the colors and used it as a back of the couch throw. Grams says it's made of ribbons. Handmade by an older lady who's mama used to make these and also made rag rugs (back in the 1920-40's). Not sure if this was intended as an afghan type throw/ blanket or a rag rug. Could be either I suppose, but seems too nice to use as a floor rug. The throw is heavy and would do nicely as a weighted blanket (single size) or on the back of your couch/ over size chair to add accent or use as a throw on chilly days. I'm not sure if it's crochet or twisted. Please see all pictures. It looks nice, clean, no tears or holes, no odors. One of a kind. Measures approximately 68" long by 26-27" wide. Size is a bit irregular as you'd expect a handmade item to be which is why the width number is variable. Smoke and pet free home. Ships USPS ground advantage.
