Description: Vintage Album Artistique Paris 48 Views in English and French UN-USED. COMPLETE! 1919 "ALBUM ARTISTIQUE" OF (48) UNCIRCULATED ANTIQUE REAL PHOTO POSTCARDS CREATED BY A. PAPEGHIN, PARIS TOURS 48 postcards are included, it’s is COMPLETE! ….. Postcards were popular with not only society's elite, but also a broader population in pre-war Europe and America. These POSTCARDS WERE MADE THROUGH A LITHOGRAPHIC PROCESS and were considered to be a FORM OF ORIGINAL ART. A. PAPEGHIN CREATED THIS ALBUM IN 1919, and also PHOTOGRAPHED THE OLYMPICS DURING THE EARLY 1900's. A. PAPEGHIN (1900-1931) was the PUBLISHER OF THIS PRISTINE REAL PHOTO POSTCARD ALBUM that has not even been opened up enough to easily photo! It is COMPRISED of (48) CRYSTAL CLEAR PHOTOS of PARIS'S ENVIRONS…CASTLES, OPEN SPACES, THEATERS, CATHEDRALS, CHATEAUS. They really are QUITE AMAZING! The COVER of the ALBUM is a DARK BLUE, RIBBED, HEAVIER PAPER. It has been EMBOSSED with a CREST, "PARIS" and other information. On the backside is the Hallmark of its' MANUFACTURE and ADDRESS. The ALBUM ITSELF is 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" and is 1/2" thick. It is in NEAR MINT CONDITION with NO TEARS, MARKS or ANY WEAR OF ANY KIND! It's BINDING IS VERY TIGHT AND IN PLACE. Just the cover is cover is loose from the front side of the top postcard, not on the binding edge. You can see the SIMPLE POSTCARD INFORMATION ON THE BACK.
