Description: Vintage Brooks Brothers Silk Bow Tie Dark blue woven silk twill with gold stripes and narrow green stripes. Labeled: Brooks Brothers Makers, All Silk, Made in USA of Imported Fabric. U.S.Pat. 2125715-2308026. These patents were issued to Claire Goldenberg in 1938 and 1940 for the fastening system. Adjustable with metal hook and slide from 13 1/2 to 18 to a total length of about 36". 3" wide. Pre-owned silk bow tie in good condition without fraying; there is some wrinkling in knot area, and a few light blue-gray marks visible only on the edges of some of the gold stripes, see photos.
