Description: Offered for your consideration is a vintage CENTENNIAL ballpoint pen, made by National Pen Corp. of San Diego c.1980. The pen bears a strong resemblance to the classic CROSS business ballpoint, differing mainly by clip style and lack of a cap tassie. This CENTENNIAL features an attractive chrome-plated cap and barrel with tastefully-striated grip section and a stainless steel clip. It measures 5½” long x ⅜” at its widest not including the clip. There are no dings or noteworthy scratches on the cap or barrel, just the expected light desktop and usage scuffs from the years, as pictured. Plus, the clip holds tight to the cap with no gap and the halves join together firmly. Overall, it’s still pretty shiny and presents well. What’s more, the twist mechanism is working correctly, reliably extending and retracting the refill. The refill inside is dry but appears to be a standard pattern, as pictured. I believe there are refills of the same length/profile available in the marketplace, but it's up to the buyer to sort that out.
