A Dog of Flanders and Other Stories (Louise De La Ramee (Ouida), 1965 HC) A Dog of Flanders was originally written and published in the late 1800s, from which time it grew a following substantial enough to earn it a film adaptation via anime series in Japan. There's an entire manga based on this book from 1800s Europe. This edition is a Companion Library Edition, one of the first books to bear a legitimate ISBN number. This copy is in near perfect condition, it's a hardback print, it's illustrated, and it's gorgeous. Single Price: $29.99 Lassie And The Mystery At Blackberry Bog Dorothea J Snow 1956 Hardcover Whitman This is a collector's item. The Lassie television series had a number of companion books, this is one of them. This particular copy h as a gorgeous front and back cover, and some truly remarkable illustrations along the inside cover. It was given to a young man named Jerry as a Christmas present in 1965, so says an inscription on one of the title pages. There are also markings on the inside of the cover from a previous reseller. The book has been illustrated by Kim Sawyer, and features several illustrations throughout the book. There is plastic protective coating that is beginning to peel from the cover. The spine of the book has detached from the rear cover. Pages sit firmly in the binding, but this is a notable flaw. It could be repaired, as yet this has not been done. 282 Numbered Pages. Single Price: $17.99 The Rocket's Shadow, #1, Rick Brant, by John Blaine, Grosset & Dunlap HC, 1947 Rick Brant Science Fiction adventures were all the rage among youngsters in the forties. The Rocket's Shadow by John Blaine is here available in hardcover format. Except for some scuffing toward the bottom of the spine, the book is in near perfect condition. It does have traditional wear, but this is exceptionally minor, see photos. The pages, from title pages to those at the back, all sit securely in this hardcover's binding. There are illustrations in the book, and there is a top-down perspective on an illustrated map across the inside cover at either end, showcasing "Spindrift Island". The top pages of the book have red edging, common for the period. The pages do not have underlined areas or marking. On external vertical pages toward the bottom are three very small dots. 209 Pages. Single Price: $79.99 The Treasure of Pleasant Valley, Frank Yerby, Gold Rush, Book Club Edition, 1955 Frank Yerby is a known name in the genre of western literature, and The Treasure of Pleasant Valley is a fine entry. This particular copy is a hardback Book Club Edition in a surprisingly aesthetic red binding. The Dust Jacket is in very good condition, though it does exhibit scuffing along the top edge on the right of the cover, and near the top spine on the left of the cover. The bottom corner of the rear corner has split. Pages sit firmly in the binding, no markings evident. 219 Numbered Pages. Single Price: $19.99 Crime and Punishment 1984 B&W Pocket Classic Comic Style Paperback Book Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky is a literary classic without peer. This isn't the original novel, it's a graphic novel reinterpretation designed to appeal to younger readers, and perhaps introduce them to a wider world. This is a rare edition in Pocket Classics Format by Academic Industries, Inc. This copy has an inscription to the recipient from 1987. The book is in very good condition with average shelf wear, leading to very slight imperfections along the book's edges. This book is a tie-in to an unrelated TV show. This little book is in good to very good condition. It has some slight chipping around the cover, and peeling along the bottom of the spine.
